Nick M. was watching TV when he saw a flash of light coming through the curtains in the window. Jumping up to get a better look, he saw this glowing red light on the hillside among the trees.
Through the back door, he could see the ship sitting on the ground among the trees. Then the ship's door opened, and two snowman-like creatures came out, took soil samples, and returned to the ship. Then it flew up into the sky and disappeared.
After they left, he scanned the area, but found nothing.

Summary: Nick M was watching TV when he saw a flash of light in the window shining through the curtains. Jumping up to get a better look he saw this glowing red light on the hillside in the trees. From his back door he could see a ship sitting on the ground in the trees. Then the door of the craft opened and two Bigfoot like creatures came out and took some soil samples, and went back into the ship. It then shot up into the sky and vanished. After they left he check the area but found nothing.
