The witness, an elderly man, Valentin K., was reading a book in his room, and his wife was working in the kitchen. There was no one near him at the moment.
Suddenly, he saw several flashes of light that were circling in the air around him.
The next moment, he appeared in a completely different and unknown place. This place was unlike anything he had ever seen. He saw a huge meadow with bright green trimmed grass. A river flowed nearby, filled with clear, clear water. Beyond the river, he could see rolling hills. There were no trees in sight. In the distance, he saw several humanoid figures. A strange, semi-transparent humanoid figure that looked like an orange cloud suddenly appeared nearby.
The witness thought that it was all a dream, and at the same moment, the nearby silhouette took on a dense nature that became opaque, it seemed as if it materialized before the witness ' eyes.
The figure was similar to a human, but not completely. His face, hands, and clothes were a dull orange color. The strangest detail was the face, and instead of a nose there was a small dark hole instead of a mouth, also a round hole, like a funnel through which water was spilled. The ears were completely missing. The creature's eyes were large, yellow-brown in color, and they looked at the witness intently, but with " kindness."
The alien "came" closer to the witness with a strange floating gait, almost floating in the air. The alien wore completely bizarre clothing; the front part resembled a screen.
Suddenly, two more similar entities appeared nearby, which differ only in height: the first and the original were the same height as the witness, the second was smaller, and the third was taller than Valentine. The witness still thought he was dreaming, but the nearest humanoid somehow read his mind and responded telepathically:
"No, it's not a dream, I'm real, give me your hand!»
Mechanically, the witness obeyed the humanoid and held out his hand. The alien held out his hand. Valentine shook the alien's hand with five fingers, which seemed normal, like a human hand, hot.
"Where are you from?" the witness asked, overcoming a sense of fear.
Instead of answering, the "shield" located on the alien's chest began to glow with bright colors, and soon the witness saw images of "galaxies", constellations, planets, resembling digital figures on an electronic clock. After that, the witness does not remember anything.
He came to himself again in the bedroom. He felt somewhat sluggish, and his hand was hot. His wife apparently didn't notice him missing; she stayed in the kitchen all the time, and apparently the whole "adventure" lasted only a few minutes.
The witness, who was an experienced artist, drew portraits of the scenes he saw.
