The witness and his cousin were on a hunting expedition and were sitting on the edge of the wall of a fairly large hollow, which consisted of very dense undergrowth and a large number of evergreens, and a large valley leading first to a clearing and then to some ancient Indian cemeteries.
Suddenly, they heard the bushes in the hollow rattle, and realized that the creature making the sounds was quite large. The main witness was armed with a Ruger 10-22 rifle with about 150 rounds of ammunition at the ready.
Under the night vision scope, he could see what appeared to be a human, but upon further inspection, he realized that the " human” was a creature about 7-8 feet (2.1-2.4 m) tall and approximately 450 pounds. It was covered in thick black fur. He was slimmer than the popular Bigfoot image, almost skinny. And he had a neck.
Also on both sides of his head were long pointed “horns”, also black in color. There was also a horn on the top of his head, pointing straight up. The horns were approximately 5-6 inches (1.58-1.8 m) long and were the same dark color as the creature.
The horrified witness emptied a clip of 25 rounds into the creature, then retreated to a nearby cabin about 65 feet away. The next morning they found nothing but a lot of spent shell casings and bullet holes in a walnut tree. He felt as if he had struck the creature several times. Animal traps were set nearby and all the baits were taken out.
On a nearby ridge, witnesses found a series of tunnels consisting of shrubbery and various sizes of tree branches, lianas, and leaves. They thought it might be the "lair of the beast".

Under his night vision scope he could see what appeared to be a man, but upon further inspection he realized that the “man” was a creature about 7-8 ft tall approximately 450 lbs. Also protruding on either side of its head were long tapered “horns” also black in color. On the top of the head also protruded a horn pointing straight up. All horns were approximately 5-6 inch in length and were the same dark color as the creature. The next morning they could not find anything except for lots of spent shell casings and bullet holes on a walnut tree. He thought he had struck the creature several times.
