The strange mutilated bodies of two people were anonymously reported to the police or the PNP, who found two unidentified men “with all their muscles exposed and without a single gram of fat." In other words, "liposuction from hell."
Local Indians and others attributed the bizarre deaths to a predatory humanoid known for centuries throughout the Andes as “pishtako” or “lik'ichiri”.
The local Indians, the Aguaruna, believe that these creatures are “half-gringos” or pale-colored, live in caves and suck the fat from their victims, and sometimes kidnap and raise people like cattle for flesh and blood.
