In the spring of 1998, I was camping and traveling in Colorado. This morning I was awakened by loud noises that approached my camp. I thought it was a mad bear, so I took my walking stick.
I knew I couldn't hurt the attacking bear, but maybe I could somehow distract it with a piece of hope and a stick prick. The sounds reached directly to my camp, but changed direction. He stopped, and I looked out of my tent.
When I saw this big, dark, hairy figure through the trees. It looked like he was wearing something dressed in red cloth. Then he turned and ran up that steep hill. I could hear it crashing through the trees, and it sounded like a tank going 60 miles an hour up a steep slope.
I wish I could get a better look, but it all happened so fast. I got the feeling I needed to get out of there right now. I saw something I probably shouldn't have seen. I packed up the camp and started walking. I'm not sure, but I've since had the feeling that the red fabric could have been a T-shirt.
I think this big thing was carrying a kidnapped child because people, especially children, went missing. No one knows what happened to them.

I got the feeling like I needed to get out of there right then. I saw something that maybe I shouldn’t have. I packed up camp and hiked out of there. I’m not sure but since then I have the feeling that red cloth may have been a t-shirt. I think that big thing was carrying an abducted child because people, especially kids have gone missing. Nobody knows what happened to them.”
