The strange creature, described as half wolf, half human, chased 11-year-old Marcelino Gomez, who escaped from him by jumping on a truck platform. Immediately, his relatives rushed to his aid.
They cornered the creature and beat it senselessly with sticks, bricks, and garden hoses. Thinking he was dead, they left him tied to a tree. But the creature regained consciousness and escaped.
An hour later, he was spotted near a gas station. Other residents of the region have also seen this creature.
