Sue O'Connor met and established a telepathic connection with what is supposedly their regular visitor-a female Yowie.
The creature revealed that it dwelt in the "Black Dimension", but was a kind "being of light" that was drawn to her and her garden.
He expressed his disapproval of the word "Yowie" and seemed to say that it was "of the Bunip race." Among other things, he informed Sue that he was immensely old - essentially immortal.

Summary: Sue O’Connor encountered and established a telepathic link with what purported to be their regular visitor—a female Yowie. The creature conveyed that it resided in the “Black Dimension” but was a benign “being of light” which was drawn to her and her garden.
