On an isolated route, two local police officers (carabinieri) patrolling a local railway crossing reported encountering two strange creatures that appeared to have no facial features other than a pair of glowing red eyes that looked like "lasers". The creatures were dressed in black suits that looked like hoods.
Several of the car's occupants appeared to have had similar experiences, police said.
