On this day nine years ago (October 24, 2013), an alleged video about a snowman was shot, which was called "the best footage ever recorded."
In a few days Josh Highcliffe uploaded an amazing video to YouTube . It's called "I think I saw a snowman — please help."
In the description, he explained that he was hunting wild boars in a swamp near Tunica, Mississippi, USA, around 18:00, when he came across a mysterious beast.
He wrote:
"I was wearing hunting camouflage and just sitting quietly waiting for it to get dark, because that's when the pigs come out. I hear a noise behind the tree I was sitting on, I thought it was pigs, when I walked around I couldn't believe my eyes.
A huge black creature crouched between a dead cypress tree 50 yards away from me, I thought it was a pig, but I saw big shoulders and a head with raised arms. It looked like she was digging up a stump.
My first impulse was to run, I didn't even think to shoot... then I know that no one will believe me... as if everything slowed down... I was scared! I took out my iPhone and started videotaping it.
I tried to be as quiet as possible... When he got up, I couldn't control myself and ran. This stump was huge and I think the sucker was 7 feet tall, I'm a hunter and I'm damn good at guessing the size [so in the original]."
The video shows a dark ape-like figure just a few yards away from Josh. The head and arms are clearly visible when the creature pulls and knocks on wood.
After a couple of minutes, he gets up like a human before Josh runs away.
_____________
Hunter Josh Highcliffe from Mississippi (USA) shared an amazing video that aroused the interest of many researchers and ordinary people. The video, posted on YouTube back in 2015, captures something that some call "the most convincing find in history."
Under the headline "I think I saw a skunk monkey - please help," the video went viral, gaining more than 9,000 views and hundreds of comments. While in the forest in search of wild boars, Josh Highcliffe unwittingly encountered something amazing and frightening. According to him, he heard a strange noise and decided to find its source.
What he saw is perfectly demonstrated by the video. A huge black creature, resembling a bigfoot in its physiology, is sitting by a tree and doing something with the bark. The creature does not pay attention to the camera and does not seem to suspect that it is being watched. The width of the shoulders, the big head and the raised arms - all this creates an undoubted impression that something unusual is in front of us.
However, opinions about this find are divided. Enthusiasts of exploring the unknown with pleasure began to understand the details, hoping to prove the existence of a snowman. However, skeptics raise questions about the authenticity of the video. One of the experts said that the insufficiently clear image and the far distance do not allow us to draw final conclusions.
Nevertheless, many of those who turned out to be among the viewers support the author of the video. The comments under the video speak for themselves: "The best and most convincing shots", "Natural and believable", "This is a video that is worth watching several times".
The question of the existence of bigfoot remains open. For some, this video has become convincing proof that something unusual lives in the forests of Mississippi, while others urge not to rush to conclusions.
Original news
A supposed video of Bigfoot that has been dubbed "the best footage ever recorded" was captured on this day nine years ago (October 24, 2013).
Josh Highcliff uploaded the jaw-dropping video to YouTube a few days later. It is titled "I think i saw a skunk ape [another term for a Bigfoot] - please help."
In the description, he explained he was hunting hogs in a swamp near to Tunica, Mississippi, US, at around 6pm when he came across the mystery beast.
He wrote: "I was wearing hunting camo and just sitting dead still waiting for it to get dark, cause thats when the hogs come out. I hear a noise behind the tree i was sitting on, i thought it was the hogs, when i got around i could not believe my own two eyes.
"There was this huge black thing crouched by a dead cypress about 50 yards away, i thought it was a hog but saw these big shoulders and a head upright with hands. It looked like it was digging out the stump.
"My first instinct was to run, i did not even think of shooting...then i know no one will believe me...it was like everything slowed down...i was scared! I took out my iphone and started videotaping it.
"I was trying to be dead quiet...when it stood up i could not control myself and ran. That stump was huge and i'd guess the sucker was 7feet tall, i am a hunter and am pretty darn good at guessing size. [sic]."
The video shows a dark, ape-like figure just a few yards away from Josh. A head and arms can clearly be seen as the creature pulls and knocks on a tree.
After a couple of minutes it stands up in a human-like manner before Josh runs away.
Most people in the comments section seem absolutely convinced that the hunter captured something extraordinary.
One wrote: "Honestly, this is probably the best footage ever recorded. Amazing that it’s not talked about more."
A second said: "I think it's safe to say that this is actually one of the most real Bigfoot video out there. This doesn't look like some guy in a suit ripping a tree apart. That's some of the brute force right there. Ripping a tree ain't easy."
A third wrote: "It looks so natural, like it's in its element. When you hear the crack of the wood when it rips it out it sounds like it's got some real strength. Pretty convincing... one of the best BF videos I've seen."
"I doubt this is a man in a suit. The way it breaks the tree shows its got some serious muscles," a fourth wrote.
"Plus, the way it searches for food inside the tree while snapping off the bark in a quick fashion is a behaviour more similar to a gorilla or ape than a human. I think this is genuine footage of a Bigfoot."
