Initial data
A giant mysterious ball recently washed up on the shore of Ensyu Beach in Hamamatsu, Japan. The buoy-like object has a width of 1.5 meters and is described in the press as an "iron ball", although it is still a mystery what it really is.
The authorities learned about the find from a local resident and quickly cordoned off the area with a radius of 200 meters around the strange object, fearing an explosion.
The footage posted on the Internet shows how experts in special suits are carefully studying the huge object. However, it was deemed safe after an X-ray examination showed that it was empty inside.
Restrictions on the beach were lifted on the same day, but the ownership of the balloon is still being discussed. Various assumptions have been put forward in social networks, ranging from UFOs to more mundane ones, such as a spy probe and a mooring buoy. The latter version is probably the most likely, since such metal buoys can break away from the cables and eventually swim to shore after drifting.
