Initial data
Gwen Blythe says a UFO hovered over her before she mysteriously lost an hour. She claims that she was abducted by aliens near a huge Royal Air Force base, and then she forgot about it for almost 30 years.
At a recent regression therapy session, she recalled being "examined" by gray creatures with "almond-shaped eyes and long, thin fingers."
The care assistant, who is now 47 years old, said:
"It was like I blacked out, but I remember that I was sitting on the table, and there was gray around me."
Gwen, who was 18 at the time, drove away and her boyfriend parked by the road near Mildenhall Air Base in Suffolk.
She said:
"It was pitch dark outside, and all we could see was a red light in the distance. Suddenly he started walking from side to side, then another and another joined in. There were six red lights in total, and they started zigzagging. A few seconds later, one of them was rushing towards us. I've never seen anything like it."
Gwen said it was a "huge burning ball" 30 feet wide. She added:
"It was as bright as the sun, but there was no noise, no heat."
The UFO hovered over her car and then disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Gwen said: "The clock in the car was changing — it showed 00:00, but my watch showed one o'clock in the morning. We were rushing home, and a black car with no license plates and tinted windows was following us... it feels like someone wanted to know where we live. I remember writing about what happened when I got home. I still have a diary, and the record of that day is still missing."
At the therapy session, Gwen realized that she had been abducted, adding:
"It was like reliving the moment, but I wasn't scared."
Gwen, from Newmarket, Suffolk, has since devoted many years to studying UFOs and says she has met other people from her area with the same amazing stories.

Hypotheses
False memories
A person remembers an event, a fragment or a detail that did not actually happen.
They can be formed independently or under the influence of methods of memory recovery therapy (Recovered-memory therapy or RMT), such as regressive hypnosis, guided visualization, drug therapy for memory recovery, etc .In this case, there is an effect called imagination inflation.
