UFO. Azerbaijan

The message of Sotnikov V.V. about the observation of an unusual object in Baku:

On May 21, 1981, before leaving Baku, I was at the local airport. the weather was warm, the sky was covered with a haze, through which the stars could not be seen. The wind speed was 5-8 m/sec.

At about 23-30 local time, I saw a brightly glowing dot at an altitude of about 30 degrees, the size and intensity of the glow exceeding a large star or an artificial satellite of the earth. The star-shaped object moved quickly and silently in the direction of the wind. The nature of the trajectory is prowling, sometimes the speed was reset. The glow of the object is its own, the color is bright white. I did not determine the orientation of the object's location and movement to the cardinal directions.

The object did not leave any traces behind it. According to the subjective feeling, the flight altitude was less than 100 m. The total observation time was 3-5 minutes.

Possible explanation: it was a probe, most likely spherical, flying in the wind. Deviations from the rectilinear direction could be explained by local vortices of air masses.
