Report on the study of an anomalous phenomenon in the area of the Malux station of the Leningrad region (from the Archive of the Commission on the USSR Nuclear Power Plant)

On 12.11.1984, I received information coming from the group of Girbasova AND, F.

It was reported about strange sensations experienced during mushroom picking by one of the mushroom pickers and his

a spouse. They consisted in a sharp deterioration in the well-being of both persons at the same time when entering a certain area of the forest.

My well-being returned to normal immediately upon leaving this zone. The zone, according to eyewitnesses, is a strip with a sharply defined (directly affected) border.

Location-location - forest, swamp.

This effect was attributed to another in the category of anomalous, after it was found that the components of swamp gas (methane, ammonia) usually do not have similar properties, and their effect on the human body does not agree with the description of eyewitnesses: "it was enough just to put a foot outside the impact, as it immediately became bad."

Apparently, in this case there is some other component of swamp fumes or some other factor affecting the human body.

My personal interest in this kind of impact is due to the need to navigate them and take them into account when studying other anomalous phenomena.

It was not previously known - the events took place in the area of Staraya Maluxa and Maluxa stations in September. The eyewitness does not remember the exact location of the "Zone" and does not have the opportunity to make a trip to this area.

I made two trips to these stations in order to survey the population and survey the area (18.11.84 and 25.11.84).

In the course of the work carried out , the following became clear:

1. Sixteen people interviewed (three of them were huntsmen and one forester) they denied the presence of abnormal atmospheric and surface phenomena in the area in recent years.

2. The huntsman Mikhailov V.I. reported on one of the places where he repeatedly experienced the effect of "intoxication" when picking berries in the autumn of this year. According to him, the place is a swamp located in the immediate vicinity of Lake Linevo (see diagram) and connected to it by a stream. In his opinion, the reason is swamp gas.

3. He also reported the presence of a strong magnetic anomaly in the area of the destroyed church (see diagram).

4. Huntsman Boikov N.V. reported that in September - October of this year on Lake Linevo was marked

mass death of fish. The reason has not been clarified, Poisoning with sewage is excluded, because, the lake is forest, killing fish by poachers is unlikely. The fish was found washed up on the shore, and some residents allegedly ate it without any consequences.

I took samples from the lake and submitted them for analysis to GOSNIORH (Institute of Fisheries)

Responsible for the farm T. lesnikov. No toxic substances were found. Perhaps because of the prescription of the event. The acidity of the water is slightly increased.

5. The seventeenth interviewee, E. Nikoleev, who works as an excavator operator at the quarry, is an eyewitness to the atmospheric AY.

Content of the observation:

Date: September of this year, the date could not be found out. Time:from 3 to 5 o'clock in the morning.

Observed: on the eastern-northeastern horizon, a large semicircle of pale red color. A "comma" appeared on its background, brighter than a semicircle and lasted for about an hour, after which it stretched into a strip. It looks like a cloud formation glowing with its own light. The height above the horizon is about 15 degrees. The brightness of the "comma" exceeded several times the brightness of the semicircle. The picture gradually melted away. Then came a false sunrise - a strong red glow over the forest, which gradually disappeared. The sun rose later and in another place. I did not observe any unpleasant sensations. the observation point is 4 km from Lake Linevo to the west. 

There is a more detailed report on the observation. the time and direction coincides with the messages on 07.09.1984.

6. Attempts to survey the swamp with the effect of "intoxication" were not made due to the fact that it is covered with a crust of ice.

I consider it expedient to explore the swamp directly in May-June next year.
