Initial data
Lyosha from the city of Otradnoye writes to the Commission on AYA:
A bright star has recently appeared over our city.
On February 5, I was riding a slide with the boys. Suddenly I saw a bright dot. I thought it was a star, then 15 minutes passed. This point was already above the 9-storey building. I thought it was a flying object.
Another 15 minutes passed and I looked over the 9-storey building. But this point is gone. I ran to the 9-storey building, but she wasn't there either. She made a move down and then to the right and got a 90 degree angle. It was even visible how she let out a thin beam, and then went straight and stopped over our Neva.
And today is February 6, and she appeared again, only in a different place, like an oval around her.
Hypotheses
The heavenly bodies
The brightest heavenly bodies in the sky are Venus, Jupiter, and sometimes Mars and, of course, the Moon.
Venus is the bright yellow of the evening or morning star, shining in the sky on the background of evening or dawn. Maximum brightness of Venus can reach up to 4.3 m, and she is the third brightness of the sun in earth's sky after the sun and the moon. It so well reflects the light of the Sun that it is relatively easy to see and day, especially if you know the location. It manifests itself in the form of tiny blinking white dots.
