Dear editors, I read your article "Exactly at 4.10... " and decided to describe what I saw myself as a child.

It was in 1953-55 (I don't remember the exact date) because my age was 10-12 years old then, it happened at the end of May or June, I was watering cabbage and cucumbers with my older sister in the garden. The sun has just disappeared below the horizon.

Suddenly, in the sky, in its southern part, I saw a ring standing in one place, shining brightly with silver light (like the moon). Its size was,

I remember, about 1/3 the size of a full midnight moon. It was felt that the ring was at a great height, it was illuminated by the sun that had gone to the horizon. My sister (she was about 15 years old) did not answer anything intelligible to my questions. The ring was in one place all the time, then, after about an hour, as the sun went further and further, it began to fade until it disappeared without changing its size.

I observed it in the Kuibyshev region. Alekseevsky district z \ s "Farmhand" now "Avangard". Only the sister was a witness. I don't remember if I talked about it with anyone else at the time or not.

And another interesting case comes to mind: it was about the same year and also in the summer, in the evening, the sun had just set, cows were brought from pastures and we drove them around the yards. Suddenly, from the south to the north, at a not very high altitude (airplane), a body blazing with reddish fire flew through the whole sky.

We boys thought it was a low-flying meteorite and it should fall somewhere nearby, but it flew across the sky and disappeared over the horizon in a northerly direction. A smoky black trail remained in the sky for some time. There was no sound.

I don't know who could confirm this, but the second case really looks like a meteorite.
