Initial data
From a letter to the Commission on:
On the same day, at 21-35, together with my cousin, we observed the movement of a strange bolide-shaped body. Object characteristics: distinctly teardrop-shaped; size about 10 minutes - about a third of the lunar disk; color orange-red; the object was surrounded by a red glow - quite strong, but much lighter than the color of the object: it seemed that the object was in a light capsule, having a very structural, well-defined shape. The object was observed for 40-50 seconds. the object was almost parallel to the chain of Andromeda stars (it was seen in the Pegasus square, then went through the triangle to Perseus). In the constellation Perseus, the object suddenly disappeared, no decrease or increase in its brightness was observed. There was no flash when it disappeared. Maybe it's a car, but its speed was very slow for a car.
