Phenomena in artwork: Clairvoyance
The series shows several clairvoyants. The main are Brookman and Lillard, but there are others - numerous fortune tellers and predictors who fall prey to a maniac.
Brookman develops his abilities after he was struck in 1959 by his chain of coincidences of the death of his favorite actor. He can see the circumstances of people's deaths, including his own. He doesn't have a specific trigger that causes vision - he can predict by picking up something, going to a certain place or just looking at a person. Also, at least once he perceives the visions of a maniac as if looking at them with his eyes.
Brookman believes that what he saw will come true, and it is impossible to prevent it. The development of the plot shows that at least the future seen by him through the eyes of a maniac can be changed.
