The plot of episode 9:

In Knoxville, Tennessee, a mysterious white car stands at a train station. After dark, a group of Japanese scientists enter the car and begin performing an autopsy on the alien. Video of what is happening in the car is transmitted via satellite. Suddenly, people in masks and bulletproof vests rush into the car, kill the scientists and take the alien's corpse in a bag.

Fox Mulder buys a videotape with part of the alien autopsy video. Agents travel to Allentown, Pennsylvania, to meet with the distributor of the tape, but find him murdered. At the scene of the crime, they detain Japanese Kazuo Sakurai, who is considered a high-ranking diplomat. Walter Skinner appears and orders Sakurai to be released. Mulder steals the Japanese man's briefcase and finds a list of members of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), as well as satellite images of a certain ship. The lone gunners identify the ship as the Talapus, a rescue ship docked in Newport News, Virginia. Meanwhile, Sakurai is killed.

Scully is about to meet the members of the MUFON group, but runs into women who claim that her face is familiar to them from the experience of being abducted by aliens. They show Scully implants similar to those removed from her neck, and inform her that all those abducted will eventually die of an unknown form of cancer. Meanwhile, Mulder goes to the Newport News shipyard and secretly infiltrates the Talapus. Almost immediately, several cars with armed men drive up to the ship, but Mulder manages to escape. On the shore, he discovers a warehouse where a certain object covered with film is being processed by people in chemical protection suits. Mulder decides that behind the film is an alien ship discovered by the Talapus.

Later, Skinner comes to Mulder in search of a briefcase, the absence of which Sakurai caused an international incident with Japan. He refuses to continue helping Mulder and offers to find support elsewhere. Mulder meets with Senator Richard Matheson, who gives him additional information about the alien autopsy captured on video. The Senator connects this episode with a large-scale conspiracy, the purpose of which is to create hybrids of aliens and humans. Mulder continues to investigate and discovers that the Japanese scientists captured on film were members of the infamous "Unit 731" that operated during world war II. In his opinion, after the end of the war, they were hired by the US government to develop alien hybrids. Mulder believes that the scientists whose murder he saw on the film were working on a secret railroad that is used by the government to transport test subjects.

After sharing his discoveries at MUFON with Mulder, Scully brings his implant to the FBI lab, hoping to get more information about its origin and purpose. She reviews the alien autopsy recording again and realizes that one of the scientists involved, Dr. Ishimaru, was experimenting on her during the abduction.

Meanwhile, Mulder travels to West Virginia and discovers a secret white wagon. He sees a group of Japanese boarding a creature that looks like an alien. Meanwhile, another Japanese scientist, Dr. Shiro Zama, is waiting for a train at a station in Ohio. He gets on a train after his bodyguard is killed in the toilet. The red-haired killer follows Zama on a train to Vancouver (Canada).

Mulder hopes to intercept the train at the Ohio station, but does not have time. Meanwhile, Scully goes to her apartment, where she is met By Mr. X, Mulder's informant. He warns her that Mulder can't get on the train, as the conspirators are aware of his presence. Scully calls Mulder, who is about to jump off the bridge ahead of the train. Despite Scully's request, Mulder jumps onto the train as it passes under the bridge.

The plot of episode 10:

In Perky, West Virginia, a group of soldiers arrive at an abandoned leprosy research center full of disfigured people. Having driven all its inhabitants out into the street, the soldiers take them to the field, building them in a line in front of a deep ditch. Earlier, a leper named Escalante, who was hiding in a hiding place, watches in horror from the shelter as soldiers shoot all the residents of the center, including children.

After losing his phone while jumping off a bridge onto a moving train, Mulder loses contact with Scully. Confronted by x at Mulder's apartment, Scully demands answers about the contents of the train and her sister's killer, to which X suggests searching for them in the implant that was previously removed from Scully's neck. Mulder, unable to get into the blocked white car, searches for Dr. Zama with the help of a guide. The agent finds only the body of the doctor, who was previously strangled by a red-Haired man, and a briefcase with notes in Japanese.

Agent Pendrell discovers that the chip from Scully's neck is made using extremely sophisticated technology and can interact with a person's memory. Dr. Zama's name is found on the chip, and Pendrell manages to find an old mail receipt for the doctor's name, which shows the address of the complex in Perki. Scully goes to the leper colony, where he finds a small group of leper survivors. Escalante informs her that Zama has been experimenting on people here, but has not been seen for a long time. He also tells her about the recent arrival of the "death squad" and shows her a huge mass grave with shot bodies. Suddenly, the death squad arrives again, and Escalante is killed, while Scully is led to a meeting with The first Elder, one of the Syndicate's leaders.

Returning to the mysterious car, Mulder finds the door open. Looking through the peephole into the locked compartment, the agent sees a strange creature that looks like a hybrid of a human and an alien. At this point, a red-Haired man attacks Mulder from behind, trying to strangle him. The agent is saved by a conductor armed with an unloaded Mulder pistol, who, while running away from the red-Haired man, slams the door to the car. Mulder takes the red-Haired man at gunpoint, but the latter receives a call from the First Elder, who passes the phone to Scully. She tells Mulder that she is in the same car, and also that she remembered how Zama and his subordinates conducted experiments on her, and realized that the alien abduction is a "smoke screen" for government experiments on people. She confirms the presence of a clock bomb in the car (Mulder discovers an explosive device on the ceiling) and expresses concern that the creature being transported may infect thousands of people with hemorrhagic fever when it explodes.

Mulder orders the conductor to unhook the car from the train in a remote place, after which, in a conversation with the red – Haired man, he comes to the conclusion that the creature in the compartment is a hybrid of an alien and a human who is immune to biological weapons. Zama tried to get the creature out of the country, but was ready to die with it, if only the results of the experiments did not fall into the hands of the US government. The red-haired man should have killed both of them.

With Scully's help, Mulder picks up the exit code, but the red-Haired man stuns him from behind and kicks him. When trying to leave the car, the red-Haired man is killed by a shot. X enters the car, who, after assessing the situation, pulls Mulder out a few seconds before a powerful explosion.

After recovering, Mulder tries to find information about the car that was blown up, but fails. Scully brings Zama's briefcase with a diary in Japanese, but Mulder realizes that both items were switched. Meanwhile, in a darkened room, an elderly Japanese man translates the contents of a real diary in the presence of a smoker Smoking a cigarette.
