Dust storm covers Astrakhan

In the network there are terrible shots of the approach of a huge "shaft" of dust and sand to Astrakhan.

As stated by the State Duma deputy from the Astrakhan region Oleg Shein, this phenomenon was caused by fires and land desertification.

During the spring, the burning of grass in the steppe continued. Due to the lack of grass, desertification accelerates, and samum (dry hot wind with dust and sand vortices) can become a common phenomenon.
