The lunar halo appeared in the sky over the Voronezh late on the evening of 6 April 2017. A clear rainbow ring could be seen around the moon at about nine in the evening.
A halo is an optical phenomenon that represents the ring of light around a light source. Caused by ice crystals in Cirrus clouds at a height of 5-10 km in the upper troposphere. In the dim lunar halo colors the eye cannot see, because of the specific twilight vision, however they can be distinguished in the photograph.
