American pilot David Evans during a flight over Oklahoma on Sunday, June 13, was near a tornado. The pilot followed the route from Minko to Tuttle and managed to film the tornado from under the clouds, reports The Weather Network.
At that time, a thunderstorm was passing in the area of the declared flight path. The tornado was not visible on radar, according to the National Weather Service in Norman, Oklahoma. Difficult weather conditions that would attract the attention of meteorologists were also not observed.
The pilot detected a broad, weak circulation that was being pulled into the cloud. The tornado's funnel extended to the base of the cloud, gradually expanding. According to Evans, the tornado was not dangerous, but really exciting.
