A Thai man has ended up behind bars after a failed attempt to use his alleged superpower to steal. As reported by The Thaiger, the incident occurred on December 23 in Bangkok.
A 48-year-old resident of Bangkok, Kachein Sihamart, broke into a parked car and stole not only stylish glasses of a famous brand, but also nine thousand baht (about 23 thousand rubles) in cash. The police spent several weeks searching for the man and finally detained him on January 8.
Sihamart claimed that before the theft, he cast a spell that was supposed to make him invisible. Confident in his invisibility, he was stunned to learn that his actions were recorded by CCTV cameras.
This is not the first time that Sihamart has run afoul of the law. He had previously been arrested three times for theft. Now he faces a prison sentence of one to five years and a fine of 20 to 100 thousand baht (52 to 260 thousand rubles) for attempted theft.
Despite his magical beliefs, Sihamart only interested the police, demonstrating that there is no place in this world for "invisible" criminals.
