The residents of the Rostov region in the vicinity of highway M-4 "don" was lucky enough to witness an amazing natural phenomenon, which is not so often seen in our latitudes.

We are talking about the dusty whirlwind (sometimes called a "dust devil"), or vortex formation, resembling a small tornado. Air funnel, absorbing the dust and sand, saw about two dozen kilometers from the town of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky.

"Dust devil", not moving away from the road, moved to the village, but then quite quickly collapsed, bumping into the construction.

Varapodio like formations are formed, as a rule, in hot weather, when the ground surface red-hot heat. Heated air masses upward, capturing particles of soil and even small rocks. This "dust devil" close to the tornado, in fact it is not associated with clouds, and therefore, poses much less danger. The average lifetime of such a vortex does not exceed a few minutes.
