Strange shaped clouds were noticed over Chuvashia

A resident of Chuvashia, Mikhail Balashnikov, photographed vymeobraznye clouds near Cheboksary.

"Unusual sky today," the author of the photo wrote on social networks.

Vymoobraznye clouds (they are also called mammatus) are rare, mainly in tropical latitudes. They have a characteristic structure in the form of convex cells.

Mammatuses are a beautiful phenomenon, but dangerous. Usually they portend a storm, increased wind and even tornadoes.
