A rare and strange-looking primate was caught sticking its extremely long finger into the nasal orifice.

Ai-ai, a lemur from Madagascar, has a finger 8 cm long, and this particular specimen managed to lift it to the end.

Nose-picking exists in a number of primate species, but the exact cause of this embarrassing act remains largely unknown.

The habit of picking your nose with your finger is embedded in our DNA: it is known that in the past 11 species of primates, in addition to humans, did this, and now ai-ai is proud to be the newest member of this group.
