Marking the first weekend of summer, June 5 from 20:45 until 00:04 Moscow time, there will be penumbral lunar Eclipse. Interestingly, the moon rising in the capital will happen at 20:46 — only a minute after the start celestial show.

The Eclipse can be seen in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

The phenomenon reached its maximum at 22:24 (GMT) when the Moon is partially immersed in the shadow of our planet. However, visually it will look only as a slight darkening of the southern part of the satellite and change the color of the lunar surface with pearl white to close to tea.

Next time penumbral Eclipse will happen in a month — 5-6 July, however the observe will be impossible. The next chance to see this phenomenon right from your home will appear on 29-30 November, and then only 5 to 6 may 2023.
