"I can't laugh at saucers," the senator says.
WASHINGTON, July 9 (UP) - Senator Glen H. Taylor, d-Idaho, said today that he almost hopes that the "flying saucers" will turn out to be spaceships from another planet.
"They will put an end to our petty disputes on earth, "the singing cowboy told a reporter.
He said that the "simple possibility" that the spinning circles could be hostile would " unite the people of the earth like nothing else."
Taylor, who fights hard for the United States of the World, added:
"The world government will be so fast that it will make your head spin."
The senator said that no matter what "saucers" they are, they "will not be laughed at".
"If this is something that we have invented," he said, " we'd better take note that other people can also invent. If they are Russians, we'd better look at our "closed map" and understand that we" are not the only ones who have a genius for inventiveness."
According to Taylor, even if this is just a psychological phenomenon, it is a sign of what the world is approaching.
"If we don't ease the tension, the whole world will be full of psychological cases and will eventually turn into a global mental hospital."
