Although in recent years the Pentagon has begun releasing documents acknowledging its interest in unidentified aerial phenomena (NWS) - its rebranded term for the good old "UFO" - most of these documents have been redacted due to their confidential nature. However, what has been made public can be intriguing.
Here's an example: Black Vault, a private database of declassified documents, has now received a secret version of the infamous UFO report that the Director of National Intelligence sent to Congress in June 2021.
Although a huge part of the document has been edited, including almost all potentially interesting fragments, what we can see certainly makes us think. For example, one lengthy abbreviation concerns the "common forms" of UFOs, and the other is the report of a Navy pilot describing some kind of aerial encounter.
The document also contains numerous cases in which the most "common forms" of UFOs are described. Although the description of the forms themselves has been edited, even the existence of this section was not included in the report originally submitted to the public last year.
Other sections of the report, such as "And several UAPs demonstrate advanced technologies" and "UAPs probably do not have a clear explanation", are also presented in the new document. In the first case, for example, there is a section in which several Navy personnel witnessed the UAP.
One of the new stories says that the pilot was "struggling to keep his plane in the airspace," apparently due to strong winds, when he saw the UAP, whose "position has not changed."
The entire document is available for download on The Black Vault website. As we said, it's heavily edited, but it still has a lot of intriguing elements. Often, what they leave in the document can tell a lot about what they omit.
