Residents of at least five provinces of Turkey (Diyarbakir, Malatya, Erzurum, Elazig and Gaziantep) observed the explosion of a meteorite in the sky, it was reported by various media of the country.

At about 20:15 Moscow time, a bright green object appeared in the sky, which flashed several times as it approached the earth. Numerous videos made by eyewitnesses and surveillance cameras appeared on the network.

Presumably, the remains of a celestial body fell in the southeastern province of Sanliurfa.
