Engineers from South Africa, Luke and Mike Bell, have created the fastest unmanned drone in the world, developing speeds up to 480 km/h. The body of the device is made of carbon fiber, the details are printed on a 3D printer.
The drone entered the Guinness Book as the record holder for the developed speed among radio-controlled battery-powered quadrocopters. To obtain the official record status, the device needed to successfully make two flights in different directions to compensate for atmospheric conditions. The maximum speed reached 510 km/h at a certain point. Thus, the miracle drone overcame 142 meters every second!
The Bells had to work hard for several months. The novelty was named Peregreen 2. Previously, they worked on the Peregreen model, which reached a speed of 397 km/ h, but it was not considered a record, which prompted enthusiasts to improve their invention.
