Initial data
On the evening of September 23, 1996, in Fife, Scotland, two women and a child witnessed this unearthly phenomenon when they went for coffee at the last moment. Mary Morrison (fictitious name), her friend Jane, and Mary's son, Peter, set off just after 8 p.m. As they were driving along the road, they saw a strange, bright light that seemed to " split in two." When they looked out of the car, they saw a huge triangular ship flying over them, with red lights on its lower part. He soon disappeared from view. Puzzled and shocked, they continued on their way to the store.
However, on the way back, they saw the strange ship again. This time, it flew very close to the car, hovering over it for a few seconds. After returning home, Mary reported the incident, and then the three of them, along with Mary's daughter, Susan, went back at the request of the UFO researcher to see if anything more interesting could be found. As they neared the spot where they had seen the strange ship, each could make out a lighted area at the edge of the field in front of them. They stopped the car and positioned themselves behind a wall so that they could watch more closely. They could clearly see "several thin figures" moving back and forth towards the huge object standing on the ground. It looked like each of the pieces was carrying a cube or a box.
They returned to the same place for the fourth time, but now with binoculars. As they watched the creatures ,which were "clearly not human", a capsule in the shape of a cocoon rushed in their direction.
Although it is not entirely clear what happened after that, the primary hypnotic regression suggests that the kidnapping incident occurred before the four people were returned to the car, which is the moment they clearly remember after the capsule flew up to them. The incident remains unexplained.
Hypotheses
False memories
A person remembers an event, a fragment or a detail that did not actually happen.
They can be formed independently or under the influence of methods of memory recovery therapy (Recovered-memory therapy or RMT), such as regressive hypnosis, guided visualization, drug therapy for memory recovery, etc .In this case, there is an effect called imagination inflation.
