An eyewitness from the city of Dern writes:
I happened to see it when I was driving. At first I thought it was from an airplane, but it looks a little different. It was still hanging in the air (not moving at all) and seemed to be hanging quite low compared to the clouds.
In the opinion of ufomeldpunt.nl this is a condensation trace.

DEURNE, NB — Toevallig zag ik dit toen ik aan het rijden was. Ik dacht eerst dat het eerst van een vliegtuig was, maar dat ziet er toch wat anders uit. Het bleef stil in de lucht hangen (bewoog helemaal niet) en het leek vrij laag te hangen met vergelijking van de wolken.
