Initial data
Karpov Alexander Georgievich, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department, writes to the Commission on AI.laboratory of correlation extreme systems of Automation and Electromechanics:
Place of observation: the village of Dzerzhinsky, the vicinity of Tomsk. -the left bank of the Tom River is about 10 km from Tomsk on the Tomsk-Shegarka road, opposite the Tomsk riverport.
September 13 , 1977 I was in the village named after him. Dzerzhinsky is with his family.
At 22:10 a.m., going outside, I saw light streaks in the dark sky.The weather was clear, calm, the sky was cloudless, the stars were visible, there was no moon. Three stripes were visible - the central one (longer in length) and two side ones - shorter, their length was the same. The boundaries are fuzzy. Their beginning was almost exactly in the west (where the Sun sets). Stars shone through the stripes. Venus was visible not far from the stripes or on the stripes themselves. The color of the stripes is white. The color of the stripes is white, the stripes would be made of luminous fog. Gradually, the stripes began to fade, blur, lengthen and went out. The whole phenomenon lasted from the moment when I noticed it, 5-7 minutes. Besides me, Lyudmila Kirillovna Chernova observed the phenomenon.
