Initial data
A group of Americans who devote their free time to tracking down a bigfoot believe that they may have captured a bigfoot on camera.
A group calling itself the Sasquatch Rocky Mountain organization visited Deadwood, a ghost town in Lawrence, South Dakota, USA, to explore an area that is known as the "Yeti hotspot."
They documented their visit on YouTube and believed they had seen a snowman moving through the trees near an abandoned house infested with bats.
In a 10-minute review of their investigation, one of the hunters said:
"Eventually I get out in front of these guys and approach the house, just checking the situation. We heard some strange vocalizations, I don't know what it was. This is what brought my attention back to the haunted house."
The researcher then walked around the area and slowly reproduced the footage for his 71,800 subscribers to get a better look.
He added:
"If you notice that there is no wind in the trees, and suddenly this area below starts moving. I see arms and legs, just humanoid. It's just really weird."
Then another member of the group said:
"No wonder you can see Bigfoot here."
Original news
A group of Americans who devote their free time to tracking down sasquatches believe they may have caught Bigfoot on camera.
The group, who call themselves the Rocky Mountain Sasquatch Organisation visited Deadwood, a ghost town in Lawrence, South Dakota, US, to investigate the area which is known for being a 'Bigfoot hotspot.'
They documented their visit on YouTube and believed they caught sight of a sasquatch moving through the trees near a bat-infested 'ghost house'.
In the 10-minute long round-up of their investigation, one of the hunters said: "I end up walking out in front of these guys and I zoom in down by the ghost house, just checking things out.
"We were hearing some weird vocalisations, don't know what they were. That's what brought my attention to the ghost house again. I just step up and I zoom in and then someone pointed out movement down here."
The explorer then circled the area and replayed the footage slowly for their 71,800 subscribers to get a better look.
He added: "If you notice there is no wind in the trees and all of a sudden this patch down there begins to move. I see arms and legs, just humanoid-shaped. It's just really weird."
Another member of the group then said: "No wonder there are Bigfoot sightings down here."
Hypotheses
Pareidolic illusion
A variety of visual illusions (the so-called "sensory illusions additions"); is the formation of illusory images, as a basis which are the details of the real object. Thus, the vague and obscure the visual image is perceived as something distinct and defined — for example, figures of people and animals in the clouds, the image of a man on the moon, "a hidden message", audible when you reverse the audio recordings, the shadows formed by leaves or complexes of objects in certain lighting (sometimes at a certain angle).
