Initial data
A suspected bigfoot footprint measuring more than 20 inches has been spotted in the water in the US.
A Facebook user named Watie Henson logged into the Bigfoot Believers group on the social media platform to post a photo of his sighting in Oklahoma.
They posted a photo of what appears to be a massive footprint imprinted on rocks in the water, next to a human footprint and measuring tape.
The post read:
"I can almost see the fingerprints clearly. What's really cool is that when I cleared the fingerprint of debris, I examined it manually... nothing like hands in training!...this big guy seemed to have a leg. more than 20 inches in length.. northeast Oklahoma. Squatch!.."
Fellow "Bigfoot Believers" wrote in the comments section:
"That would be cool. Hopefully someday you'll see what really made this trail."
The second said:
"I've seen prints in Northern Michigan in the river, but not that big. Great catch."
And the third added:
"Cool photo. Have you ever seen any of this?"
Others, however, disputed the finding, with one joke:
"Pareidolia is the tendency of perception to impose a meaningful interpretation on a vague stimulus, usually visual, so that a person sees an object, pattern or meaning where there are none."
The second commented:
"I suppose you're saying without words that the creature stepped on the stone and left an imprint in the stone? This creature was so damn heavy that its feet rested on solid rock when it stepped."
Meanwhile , the third exclaimed:
"People will really see what they want to see."

A Facebook user by the name of Watie Henson took to the Bigfoot Believers group on the social media platform to post a picture of their sighting in Oklahoma.
They posted a picture of what appears to be a massive footprint imprinted on rocks in the water, alongside a human footprint and a measuring tape.
The post read: "Can almost clearly see the toe prints. What's really cool is when I cleaned the print out of debris, I examined by hand.. nothing like hands on Training!... this Big Fella looks to have had a foot over 20 inches Long.. northeast Oklahoma. Squatch On!!.."
Fellow 'Bigfoot Believers' took to the comments section, with one writing: "That would have been a big one. Hopefully someday you'll get to see what actually made the track."
A second said: "I have seen prints in Northern Michigan in a river but not that big. Great catch", while a third added: "Cool pic. Have you ever seen one of these things?"
Others however disputed the find, with one quipping: "Pareidolia is the tendency for perception to impose a meaningful interpretation on a nebulous stimulus, usually visual, so that one sees an object, pattern, or meaning where there is none."
A second commented: "I guess you're saying without saying that a creature stepped onto rock and made a print into the rock? This creature was so damn heavy it's feet pushed into solid rock as it stepped. Ok then. Go get that guy."
Meanwhile a third exclaimed: "People will truly see what they want to see."
Hypotheses
Fossil
The meaning of the word "fossil" – turned to stone, which became like a stone. It usually understand fossils (fossils) – the remains and traces of organisms of past geological epochs.
Fossils are formed during the processes of fossilization. It is accompanied by the influence of various environmental factors in the passage of the processes of diagenesis - the physical and chemical transformations during the transition of the sediment in the breed, which includes the remains of organisms.
Pareidolic illusion
A variety of visual illusions (the so-called "sensory illusions additions"); is the formation of illusory images, as a basis which are the details of the real object. Thus, the vague and obscure the visual image is perceived as something distinct and defined — for example, figures of people and animals in the clouds, the image of a man on the moon, "a hidden message", audible when you reverse the audio recordings, the shadows formed by leaves or complexes of objects in certain lighting (sometimes at a certain angle).

Deliberate falsification
This version includes any falsifications that imitate unexplained phenomena both from the outside: practical jokes, flash mobs, fake news, witness fraud, staging, etc.
There are many ways to make something similar to a ghost or a flying saucer from improvised materials, without using video and photomontage.
Many homemade things made for the sake of a joke, a practical joke or a direct imitation of a mystical being or event can be taken as unexplained not only in photos and videos, but also in reality.
