V.F. Tamsen's report on the observation of an unusual object in Baku:
On May 21, 1984, I was waiting for the plane to take off at the Baku airport. then it was quiet, warm (about 18 degrees). The sky is covered with haze, the stars are not visible.
At about 23 hours and minutes of local time, I saw a bright star at the zenith, silently moving along a zigzag trajectory in a southerly direction. The speed of movement was not constant: sometimes it reached a certain maximum, and sometimes it was no more than the speed of an artificial satellite of the earth. The movement of the object was smooth, its brightness did not crumple. The "star" moved mainly in the longitudinal direction, the displacement of the trajectory to the side was insignificant. There were no footprints in the sky.
Dropping to a height of 85-80 degrees above the horizon, the "star" disappeared behind the roof of the airport building. I lost sight of her here. The total observation time was 7-10 minutes.
There were no aircraft flights in the airport area during this time. Subjectively, the flight of the object was felt at a high altitude.
