In the same year, 1978, residents of the village of Lasta in the Izhma district, located near the village of Izhma, reported by phone to the police department that a parachutist had landed near the village.
According to them, something clearly visible in the form of a parachute descended in the forest near the village. The police department officers were alerted and conducted a sweep of the forest territory, but no traces were found.I got the opinion from the story that an unidentified object sat down at a long distance in the direction indicated by the residents of the village of Lasta and they simply could not detect it because of the distance, although it visually seemed that the object sat down not far away.

Parachutist/delta glider
Parachute - a device made of fabric to slow down the movement of the object in the air. Parachutes are used for safe descent and landing of cargo and people, braking aircraft during landing.
