Is Bigfoot roaming the Devon coast? A group of tourists found a huge footprint that could belong to an elusive creature.
If you are a fan of cryptozoology, you may be familiar with the legend of Bigfoot, a hairy humanoid that is said to inhabit the forests of North America. But did you know that there have been reports of similar creatures in other parts of the world, including the UK?
One such incident occurred earlier this month when a group of tourists stumbled upon a mysterious trail on the Maidencombe coastal trail in Devon, England. The print was so large and clear that it looked as if it had been left by a giant's bare foot.
The group walked along the trail for about 20 meters and found that it came from the nearby Watcombe Forest.
One of the tourists, who wished to remain anonymous, said:
"The prints were large. I'm a size 11, and they're half the size again. It can be seen that the bare foot, each print was perfect, as in the photo. We were puzzled by this. It was not what we expected to see on a Sunday walk."
The footprint was about 40 cm long and 20 cm wide, and there were five toes on the feet. It resembled many of the supposed bigfoot prints that have been found in North America over the years, which has given rise to speculation that there is a hidden population of ape-like creatures in the wild.
Some researchers have suggested that the bigfoot could be a relic of an ancient species of hominids that survived the Ice Age and adapted to various habitats.
Others have suggested that bigfoot may be an interdimensional being that can travel between worlds and manifest in physical form. Still others claim that bigfoot may be a paranormal phenomenon associated with UFOs, ghosts or other supernatural forces.
Of course, there are more mundane explanations for the trail. It could have been a hoax made by someone with a big wooden or rubber foot.

One such case happened earlier this month, when a group of hikers stumbled upon a mysterious footprint along the Maidencombe coastal path in Devon, England. The print was so large and clear that it looked like it had been made by a giant bare foot.
The group followed the trail for about 20 meters and discovered that it came from the nearby Watcombe woods.
One of the hikers, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “The prints were big. I’m a size 11 and they were half as big again. Clearly a bare foot, every print was perfect like the one in the photo. We were weirded out by it. It was not something we expected to see on a Sunday walk.”
The footprint measured about 40 cm long and 20 cm wide, and had five toes. It resembled the many alleged Bigfoot prints that have been found in North America over the years, which have fueled the speculation that there is a hidden population of ape-like beings living in the wilderness.
Some researchers have suggested that Bigfoot could be a relic of an ancient hominid species that survived the Ice Age and adapted to different environments.
Others have proposed that Bigfoot could be an interdimensional being that can travel between worlds and manifest in physical form. Still others have argued that Bigfoot could be a paranormal phenomenon that is linked to UFOs, ghosts, or other supernatural forces.
Of course, there are also more mundane explanations for the footprint. It could have been a hoax made by someone with a large wooden or rubber foot.
Hypotheses
Deliberate falsification
This version includes any falsifications that imitate unexplained phenomena both from the outside: practical jokes, flash mobs, fake news, witness fraud, staging, etc.
There are many ways to make something similar to a ghost or a flying saucer from improvised materials, without using video and photomontage.
Many homemade things made for the sake of a joke, a practical joke or a direct imitation of a mystical being or event can be taken as unexplained not only in photos and videos, but also in reality.
