Some photographers complain on the moon. Its brilliance often breaks the delicate beauty of the night sky. But this week in Ullasa in Finland, there was something quite different.
"Exactly one minute after midnight on 11 February lady Aurora was driving me crazy, says photographer Thomas Kast. — See how she dances with the moonlight!"
Unexpected flare geomagnetic activity has generated a green glow that competed with the rising Crescent moon and the moonlit snow framed this gorgeous scene.
"If this is the calm before the storm, I can't wait geomagnetic riot waiting for 14 February," says Kast, who is preparing for a new round of the battle of the Aurora against the moon.
