More than 40 Americans witnessed an unusual sight - the fall of a celestial body engulfed in fire on Sunday, October 3. Most of the reports came from Colorado, but the balloon was also seen by residents of the states of Wyoming and New Mexico.
Twelve eyewitnesses addressed the video to specialists of the National Meteor Society.
In the video shot in Commerce City, a ball falling in blue fire is clearly visible.
The author of another video from Boulder, Doug Robinson, said that at first it was pitch dark, after which suddenly something flashed in the sky, like a new moon.
According to experts, it was one of the very bright meteors.
Some eyewitnesses stated that they also heard a rumble when they observed the phenomenon.
According to Chris Petersen, an employee of the Cloudbait Observatory, there is hope that there are at least a few kilograms of residual material left on earth after the fall of the object. Perhaps experts will look for them.
