In China, a "chic" meteorite fell

Sergey Zamozdra from Chelyabinsk state University commented on the fall of a meteorite in China — according to him, it was a "chic" superbolid, the flash from which could be observed in the atmosphere for 29 seconds. The celestial body entered the atmosphere almost tangentially with an inclination of less than 10 degrees.

Zamozdra participated in the research of the Chelyabinsk meteorite in 2013. The largest fragment of a celestial body weighing more than 600 kg fell into lake Chebarkul. Currently, it is placed under the dome in the state historical Museum in Chelyabinsk,where everyone can see it.

A Chinese meteorite fell on December 23 at 2: 25 Moscow time in Western China, near the city of Yushu in the Yushu-Tibet Autonomous region. The city's population is about 416 thousand people. Scientists and Chinese authorities have not yet reported details about the celestial body.
