To date, AMS (American Meteor of Soewito) received more than 60 reports of observation of a fireball that occurred over California January 30, 2020, at about 06:30 UT (22:30 PST). AMS event # 2020-531 was mainly seen in the Los Angeles/San Diego.
Based on the reports and videos we've received about this event, we originally thought it was the return of space debris (slow motion, fragmentation, etc.)
After reading the analysis Dr. Marco Langbroek and after receiving information from William J. Clinton. Cook leads from the Control detection of meteorite environment NASA, the speed is currently estimated at 15.5 km/s, which means that the fireball was indeed a meteoroid (a celestial body, intermediate in size between the space dust and asteroid). We are not waiting for confirmation of the U.S. air force.
The event was recorded by one of the camera operators, AMS / AllSky6 : Bob Lunsford of El Cajon, California.
