The flight of the fireball was observed by eyewitnesses on Friday, March 29, over New Zealand.

The American Meteor Community has received at least 17 reports of a fireball spotted over the Gulf of Plenty, Manawatu-Wanganui, Marlborough, Taranaki, Wakato and Wellington. The flight of the celestial body was captured at about 05:42 World Time.

Eyewitnesses took photos and videos of the fireball.
