A slow-moving fireball was observed at about 00: 55 UTC on August 10 over the southern part of Spain. The celestial body flew over the provinces of Ciudad Real and Albacete in the region of Castile-La Mancha, reports The Watchers.
This bright meteor was recorded from meteor stations located in Seville, La Hita (Toledo), La Sagra (Granada), Calar Alto (Almeria) and Sierra Nevada (Granada).
According to the analysis of Dr. Jose M. Madiedot, chief researcher of the SMART project carried out by the Meteor Network of Southwestern Europe( SWEMN), this bolide was formed by a stone from an asteroid that hit the atmosphere at a speed of about 50 thousand km / h.
