A blazing meteor lit up the night sky in the South-West of China in the night from Friday to Saturday.
Eyewitnesses in Yunnan province was blinded by the bright light of the object which had the form of a "burning ball".
Yunnan astronomical Observatory under the Chinese Academy of Sciences confirmed that over the province was swept by a meteor. Specialist Observatory Jiang Jingjiang explained that the effect of burning was achieved due to the intensive friction of the meteor entering earth's atmosphere.
In October 2017 in Yunnan province have also observed the passage of a bright fireball. Then the cosmic light show lasted 20 seconds.
One of the last sightings of large meteors occurred in March 2018 in the U.S. Washington. The fireball that swept over the state, the size was equal to the van.
