Green dogs spotted in Moscow region

On the streets of Podolsk, near Moscow, there were dogs painted in green. The animals accidentally got dirty in the dye. RBC said in the local society for the protection of animals "Zoomit".

"It became known about dogs about a couple of weeks ago, when calls began to arrive about painted animals in one of the districts of Podolsk. Specialists went to the place and found out that the animals were smeared in dye, someone scattered dry paint, " the report says.

In "Zoisite" explained that the paint is not toxic. The dogs themselves are healthy, vaccinated and chipped.

"We hope that this is an isolated case, and not bullying of animals. We are monitoring the situation, " the company added.

Photos and videos with green dogs were published in local public places on the social network "VKontakte". In particular, animals of unusual color were reported in the group of the Podolsk village of Tsemzavod in early January. Local residents also pointed out that the appearance of the dogs changed the dry dye they found on the street.


Later, the press service of the Podolsk administration confirmed that they had received a request for the detection of dogs with green hair.

"According to residents, the dogs were smeared with dry paint. When leaving the contractor organization for catching animals without owners, indeed, one dog was found with a tag with a greenish coat. The dog did not need the help of a veterinarian. No other appeals were received, " they said.
