It was really something fishy about this shooting "snake-like sea creatures", salesomega through the waters of Icelandic rivers.
Video captured by Hjörtur Kjerúlf, shows a mysterious creature swimming through the cold water of the river Jokulsa-Fluidal, in the East of Iceland.
In just a week the video became a hit on the Internet. But now experts have come up with an explanation - it is probably a fishing net.
The researcher Mays MacQueen (Miisa McKeown) said:
"Being at least loosely familiar with ice and how frozen objects behave in water (I live in Finland), I do not Mall to pass by."
Speaking to Discovery News, she added:
"The movement was the most fascinating aspect, but when I realized how fast the water flows, I thought it could greatly affect this flexible facility."
She analyzed the video and took several screen captures at different times and compared the location of the "head" of the animal with static reference points to see whether the floating creature is actually moving, or the result of an optical illusion.
She found that the object is stationary in the water. He seems to be moving up the stream but it is not.
