Residents of the UK said they saw a meteor that flew so low that it could be heard. This is reported by the Daily Mail.

According to the publication, many eyewitnesses were shocked by what was happening. According to them, when the object entered the Earth's atmosphere and broke the sound barrier, a loud bang was heard.

According to the organization UK Meteor Network, which collects data on meteors, specialists received more than 200 requests.

"Most of the reports come from Scotland and Northern Ireland," the UK Meteor Network said on Twitter.

Earlier it was reported that scientists have discovered an asteroid that could potentially collide with Earth on July 4, 2023. The celestial body received the name 2022 AE1. It was identified in a survey of the Mount Lemmon Astronomical Observatory in Arizona in the USA.

The asteroid has a diameter of about 70 meters. The speed of its movement is 19.83 kilometers per second. The possibility of an object colliding with the Ground is estimated as 1 chance in 1,700.
