Residents of Izmir, Turkey, were temporarily distracted from the large-scale forest fires that swept the country. On the night of July 31, people's attention was focused on another event - a meteor was noticed in the sky, which flew over their heads with a bright flash.
According to Hurriyet, reports of a meteor came from Izmir and the surrounding provinces at 01: 54. Users of social networks began actively posting pictures and videos, showing each other the celestial body.
And some of them heard an "incomprehensible", but quite loud sound, as if something exploded or an earthquake occurred.
At the moment, there is no official information about the meteor's flight. However, already now the residents of Turkey are joking about what disasters can expect the country next.

However, others explain the situation more banally - now residents of the country can watch the Perseid meteor shower, which is perfectly visible at this time of year.
