The spheres turned out to be nodules - objects created during the deposition of minerals from an aqueous solution in the rock. This process led to the formation of spherical or elliptical objects that we observe today.

The lines visible on the spheres are formed by traces of the host rock, layers of which were formed over time, creating a unique layering effect. The very fact that the sphere could "rotate by itself" was explained by the curator of the museum as a natural consequence of underground activity in the region.
